Lance West serves as Executive Vice President, Federal Government Affairs for Comcast Corporation and is the head of the company’s Washington, D.C. office. In this role, Lance manages the legislative and regulatory affairs teams, overseeing Comcast’s interactions with Congress, the Administration, and federal regulatory agencies.

Prior to joining Comcast NBCUniversal, Lance served as Vice President of Federal Government Relations for the American Petroleum Institute. He previously served in several roles in U.S. Senator Joe Manchin’s office, ultimately becoming the Senator’s Chief of Staff in 2019.

As Senator Manchin’s Chief of Staff, Lance advised the Senator through the longest 50-50 Senate in U.S. history and helped direct an ambitious legislative agenda, including the Great American Outdoors Act, the American Rescue Plan Act, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act.

Lance’s ability to develop innovative strategies that communicate and execute commonsense solutions to complex problems has enabled him to navigate the complex landscape of global politics. Before his role as Chief of Staff, Lance served as acting Staff Director and Deputy Staff Director of the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.

Lance received his Bachelor's degree in International Business from Marshall University.
