Edward Zimmermann is the President of Comcast Business. In this role he oversees Comcast’s business services division, a significant contributor to the growth of Comcast Cable that provides a suite of Connectivity, Communications, Networking, Cybersecurity, Wireless and Managed Solutions to businesses of all sizes including Fortune 100 and the Federal Government. Comcast Business is the nation’s largest cable provider in the Small Business segment and one of the leading providers to the Enterprise market. Comcast Business has been consistently recognized by industry analysts and associations as a leader and innovator, and one of the fastest growing providers of Ethernet services.
Edward has worked across Comcast in a variety of financial, strategic and growth-oriented roles since joining the company in 2000. Most recently, he served as CFO and Chief of Strategy for Comcast Business, overseeing all financial and strategic aspects of the business. In this role, he was responsible for maintaining and growing $10B in annual revenue and accelerating growth across all segments from small businesses through enterprise. Under his leadership, he successfully championed the Masergy acquisition to harden CB’s solution capabilities and enter the international space.
Prior to joining Comcast Business in 2019, Edward ran Finance and Administration for the Northeast Division, where he oversaw all financial aspects of the business for the division serving millions of customers in 14 states including the District of Columbia. Edward previously ran Finance & Administration for the Beltway Region and started his career at Comcast in HQ Financial Planning and Analysis. He has also held FP&A roles for AT&T Broadband and AT&T.
A native Philadelphian, Edward holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in business from Temple University. An advocate for improved educational outcomes for Philadelphia’s youth, he currently serves as Board Chair of The Fund for the School District of Philadelphia.
